Choosing the Right Poshak Size

Poshak sizes follow the height of the murti, not its width. Measure from the base of the murti to the top of the head, excluding any crown.

A murti measuring roughly 3 inches is Size 1; each additional inch moves you up one size, so 6 inches is Size 4 and 9 inches is Size 6. Standing murtis usually take one size larger than seated ones of the same height.

If you are between sizes, choose the larger — a poshak can be pinned neatly at the back, but it cannot be stretched.
